ITV in Altea, without you driving down to Benidorm
Benidorm station is a quarter of an hour from Altea — but it is still your morning. We collect the car, take it through the ITV and return it where you left it.
Benidorm from the centre; from Altea la Vella, almost a tie
Benidorm station 306, on Avenida de la Comunidad Valenciana, is 8.8 km from Altea Town Hall — about 13 minutes — and 7.7 km from the marina. It handles every type of inspection, stays open until 21:00 on weekdays and also opens on Saturday, 8:00–14:00.
From Altea la Vella the picture shifts: in kilometres the Calp line is closer (12.7 km against 16.3), but on time Benidorm still wins (16 minutes against 19). Ondara, the Marina Alta station, is more than 35 km away — no reason to take an Altea car there.

Altea beyond the old town
According to INE, Altea had 24,731 residents on 1 January 2025, spread over 13 population centres. Outside the town itself the largest are Sierra de Altea (2,140 residents), l'Olla (1,468) and Altea la Vella (610).
If the car lives up in the Sierra or near l'Olla beach, that is where we pick it up and where we bring it back. Just send the location and a time that suits you.

What it costs
€125 (VAT included) for our service: we collect the car, check it over, book the appointment, take it to the station and bring it back. We pay the ITV station fee there and add it to your invoice, with the receipt. Repairs, if any are needed, are extra.

Why Benidorm and not Calp?
Because from most of Altea it is quicker, and because Benidorm carries out every type of inspection, Saturdays included. The Calp line only does periodic inspections and re-tests, and only on weekday mornings.
Is Benidorm station open on Saturdays?
Yes, 8:00–14:00 according to the official register. On weekdays, 7:30–21:00.
I live in Sierra de Altea — will you collect the car?
Of course — the Sierra, l'Olla or the old town, it makes no difference. We come for it and leave it where it was.
Which documents do I need to have ready?
The car's technical sheet (ficha técnica) and registration certificate (permiso de circulación), your NIE and the insurance. We look through them before the appointment so nothing is missing at the station.
