2026
New for 2026: the V16 beacon
Since January 2026 a connected, DGT-certified V16 beacon replaces the warning triangles for signalling a stopped car. The inspection itself doesn't check it, but you must carry one — we make sure yours is certified and charged.
A concierge, not a taxi for your car
RACE, Midas and local services only drive it there. We handle the whole cycle.

We find and supervise the repair, so you're never stuck.
Anywhere between Gandía and Benidorm.
We can't promise a 100% pass — no one honestly can, we are not the ITV station. What we do promise: a straight pre-check verdict — if your car won't pass, we tell you before you spend a cent on fees — and we do everything in our power to get you through, including arranging and supervising the repairs. If we clear your car at pre-check and it still fails on something we should have caught, the re-run is on us.

Do I need to be there or hand over keys?
No. We arrange pickup and return of your car wherever you are on the Costa Blanca. You don't lose your day.
What documents do you need?
Your NIE, the ficha técnica, the permiso de circulación (vehicle registration certificate) and your insurance. We check everything and explain it in your language.
What if my car fails the ITV?
We tell you at pre-check before you spend a cent. If something needs fixing we find and supervise a trusted workshop. If we cleared your car at pre-check and it still fails on something we should have caught, the re-run is on us.
What exactly does the €125 cover, and what's paid separately?
€125 (VAT included) is for our service: we collect the car, check it over, book the appointment, take it to the station and bring it back to you. We pay the ITV station fee there ourselves and add it to your invoice, with the receipt. Separately, only if needed: any repair work and the optional annual service.
Which areas do you cover?
Between Gandía and Benidorm — Javea, Calpe, Moraira, Altea, Benissa, Gandia, Oliva, Benidorm and the towns between Gandia and Benidorm.
What is the V16 beacon and do I need one in 2026?
Since 1 January 2026 a connected, DGT-certified V16 beacon is the only legal way to signal a stopped car in Spain — warning triangles no longer count. The inspection itself does not cover it: the official ITV procedure manual doesn't list the beacon, so no car fails because of it. You do have to carry one whenever you drive, so we check that yours is certified and charged while the car is with us.
Can you help in English or German?
Yes: on WhatsApp in any language; by phone and in person, in Spanish and English.
How much does the ITV cost in Spain?
The official station fee is set regionally. Here on the Costa Blanca (Comunidad Valenciana) the 2026 SITVAL tariff is €41.47 for a petrol car with a catalytic converter and €56.15 for a diesel; without a catalytic converter, and for electric cars, it is €34.49. That is the station's own charge — separate from our €125.
My ITV has already expired — is it too late?
No. The station takes a car whose ITV has run out; it only needs an appointment, and we book it. You do not have to drive it there either — collection and return are part of the €125. What an expired ITV means on the road is set out on our page what the ITV is.
Which station do you use, and what does the pre-ITV check cover?
An officially authorised SITVAL station with a slot that fits your day — usually Ondara or Benidorm. Before the car goes in we run the pre-ITV check ourselves: lights and headlight alignment, brakes, tyres, emissions, warning lights on the dashboard, and the state of the windscreen and wipers. Those are what cars normally fail on, and a fail means a second trip and a re-inspection the station charges at €22.75.
Why are you called ITV?
From Import Trade Vehicles Costa Blanca — we import vehicles, and those are the initials of our trade name. We are not a technical inspection station and have no connection with any: we take your car to an official station and coordinate the whole procedure.
Booking an ITV appointment in Spain — and why the pre-check matters more
Two things decide whether an ITV is a twenty-minute errand or a lost afternoon: getting a slot at the right station, and knowing before you drive there whether the car will pass.
Slots at the Ondara, Calpe and Benidorm stations are booked online, in Spanish, and the good times go first. We hold the booking for you and pick the station by what is actually free, not by what is nearest to us.
Most failures are small and known in advance: a blown bulb, worn wipers, a tyre under the limit, an emissions reading drifting, a headlight out of alignment. We look at exactly those before the car goes in — a failed test means a second appointment and a second trip.
We tell you what it is and what a workshop will charge before anything is touched. The repair cost is yours and goes straight to the garage; our price does not move.
Stop dreading the ITV. Let us handle it.
