ITV in Jávea: the station is in Ondara, and we do the driving

Jávea has no ITV station of its own. We pick the car up — in the old town, by the port or at the Arenal — drive it to Ondara and leave it back at your door.

Two stations within reach — and they are not the same

From Jávea there are two sensible options. Ondara station (number 307) is about 17 km from the old town, roughly 19 minutes, and carries out every type of inspection. It opens Monday to Thursday 7:00–20:30, Friday until 19:30 and Saturday 8:00–13:30.

The other is the Calp line. By road it is further — about 23.5 km and a little over half an hour — and it only does periodic inspections and re-tests, on weekday mornings. For a car based in Jávea, Ondara wins almost every time: closer, longer hours, no restriction on the type of inspection.

Jávea is more than one town

Spain's statistics office (INE) lists 27 separate population centres inside the municipality. The largest are the Arenal (3,495 residents), Pueblo Blanco (1,483), Bahía de Jávea (1,253) and El Tosalet (948) — 30,817 people in total on 1 January 2025.

So the car is rarely parked in the centre. Send us your location on WhatsApp, we agree a time and collect it right there, whether it is a flat near the port or a villa at the end of an urbanisation road.

In your language

Close to half of Jávea's registered residents — 47.5% in the 2022 register — are foreign nationals, and British nationals alone number 4,964. Message us on WhatsApp in any language; by phone and in person we speak Spanish and English.

What it costs

€125 (VAT included) for our service: we collect the car, check it over, book the appointment, take it to the station and bring it back. We pay the ITV station fee there and add it to your invoice, with the receipt. Repairs, if any are needed, are extra.

FAQ

Questions from neighbours

Is there an ITV station in Jávea?

No. The Generalitat Valenciana's official register lists none in Jávea. The nearest are Ondara (station 307), which does everything, and the Calp line, which only does periodic inspections. For a car in Jávea, Ondara is the natural choice.

Can the ITV be done on a Saturday?

In Ondara, yes: Saturday 8:00–13:30. The Calp line is closed at weekends. And since we drive the car, the appointment does not have to fit your diary.

I live at the Arenal or on an urbanisation — will you come there?

Yes. We collect the car from your address anywhere in the municipality of Jávea and return it to the same spot.

My car is still on foreign plates. Is this for me?

No — that is not a periodic ITV, it is a different case. Message us and we will tell you what we do and what our work costs.
